i am out there … in baja mexico, riding on a dream of scoring

  • surfing is the ultimate

mexico is a desert. then its also coast line: sand, cactus, mountains, and the ocean. plus its barely developed. its darn beautiful.

  • pain and sadness have a misspoken identity

There’s this saying going around that is kinda well bologna sandwich.

“your work should be your passion”

Ya idk… says reality.

Living, working and your desired / chosen lifestyle. Now this is where people should focus.

Not trying to find your passion and make it your job… I’m passionate about surfing, but yo imma not gonna be a pro surfer. And ya there are other ways that I can get involved into the industry and sport. But many of those avenues don’t pay for the lifestyle of surfing.

these days being involved in any high performance sport is a huge financial cost.

i can’t imagine the pain parents these days go through to provide the family and then to afford a fun lifestyle.

dang kids are always growing.. i remember wet suits barely lasted because i never stopped growing as a child…

Back on the subject..

So what’s the deal so many people, “never work a day if you love what you do”. lol

boom so ya you gotta make the choice of how you want to live. this is where finance is involved with your passions. what do you love? where do you want to live? what sort of lifestyle do you want to live? does this place that you are in support your desires? how and how not?

now the big tie, is who are you going to live with? who you going to hang out with? who you want to work with? its funny how you don’t really think of the type of people you will be hanging out with at work…when deciding where you want to work… Or even when finding the industry or type of work?

the funny thing is… that we become reflections of the people that we surround ourselves with. we become components of the places that we interact with. we become about and identified with what we do.

so how do you act and what are you acting with?

(lol, that got to a serious line of questioning and that last one was way dramatic, lolz)

– so rap things up and make that first bit about mexico all make sense…

A surf trip down in mexico helped me see what I’ve always known but never realized. to sum it up:

  • do what makes you happy and roll with everything else so that you can do those things

(surfing, snowboarding, fun social, heartfelt connections, trips that involve water or a sport, design, music events, enlightening conversations, new music, and some new experiences)

now you gotta be surrounded with motivated people that continuously push themselves BUT in a positive warm way

go and know what you love and then design and create the lifestyle that aligns with that

dope

yeew know it, much love 2ya
